It is generally thought that “Beauty” is in the eye of the beholder. That is, “Beauty” is subjective.
What we “Like” is subjective, “Beauty” is universal. How tastes change throughout time, throughout our exposure to diverse inputs, what we learn to appreciate and what is “acceptable” all evolve. But the core qualities of “Beauty” and “Art” remain the same.
Society and culture tells us what we can, and cannot see. What we can and cannot hear.
Often, we think, because of the heavy weight of opinions around us, that our beliefs and our acceptances are “good,” but that initial acceptance, without thought or consideration is the fundamental basis of “systemic bias” and “systemic racism” more specifically.
Nudity in Western society has always been primarily associated with sexuality. Because of this, full nudity, explicit or implicit, lends to this perception. Much of this perception springs from the indoctrination of Christian/Judeo/Islamic religious teachings and beliefs.
When religious leaders cannot separate the differences between values, the population and the existing world today, the societies which their believers belong to, cannot do that either.
We create content pushing the boundaries of Art and Society, Values and Beliefs, Sexuality and Acceptance, not because we want all of society to accept everything, but because each of us, as individuals, need to take responsibility in a Free World, for what we like and accept, and to understand that those same choices are given to all of us.
